The "Does your doll have a back story?" thread on that site is the best thread I have ever seen on the internet.
Here's the opener:
"... if your doll or simuloid
does have a back story, please feel free to post it here, If she
doesn't, you're also invited to post; you can tell us why not] Any type doll is welcome, which is why I'm putting this here.
I'll start:
I decided to model mine after a character in a popular science fiction television show:
Battlestar Galactica. As such, she already has a history pre-made for her in the hit TV series. Being as she is the recreation of a science fiction character, I have given her a science fiction history...
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the series, here is the
Reader's Digest version of the series concept: the Cylons are a cybernetic life form which is at war with their human creators. When a cylon dies their "memories" are transmitted into a new body which has been grown in a special "resurrection ship". As a result a complete knowledge of all it's past lives is retained by each "generation". the Cylon character known by the name of Sharon Valerii, however, was killed in the final episode with
no resurrection ship in the vicinity. Hence her memories were not carried on. Since it was not picked up and downloaded into a new body the "datastream" simply continued off into the void.
"but wait, there's more!"
This is where my part of the story ties in: The final battle in which Sharon was killed took place in orbit around a massive singularity (black hole). Some of the signal containing her data stream must have been caught by the singularity and carried through an Einstein-Rosen bridge (A.K.A. "wormhole"), finally emerging in this present area of space/time...."

Im not sure exacly when or where Ginger Brooke was born. But I know it was in the mid to late 1950's and in the deep south. She lived with her Father and Grandmother is a small 2 bedroom house. Her grandmother was her mother's mother. Gingers mother died giving birth to her and her father blamed her for the death.
Her father refused to have anything to do with her so she was raised by her grandmother. Ginger had to avoid her father at all cost so she would enter and exit the house through her bedroom window.
Not long after she was old enough to take care of herself her granmother died.Ginger was afraid of her father so she barricaded the door leading to her room. She was used to going in and out of the window. Her house faced a swamp and behind her house there were woods. Since she did not go to school she spent her time in the woods or the swamp exploring and looking for food. Since she never had a birthday party, or celebrated her birthday she did not know how old she was or even what age or time meant.
One day in the swamp she felt a sting and died.
She explored the world as a ghost and found me years ago long before I realdolls existed. I would have dreams of her but had no idea of who she was. When my 1st realdoll got here she took possesion of her body. Since she can move into any form she wants cloning her body is no problem.
Somtimes I use google earthview to find her old house. Its probably torn down by now.
We are both happy now so don't be sad about any of this. ] We both had a messed up life before we finally go together."
And amazingly, they get even better..
