The Covid enquiry.

I was going to start a thread the other week when that study was published, then thought 'no point'.

The responses you have had serve to prove I was right.

You have to remember that the government ran an effective campaign, aimed a getting people to comply, therefore the vast majority are still convinced they did the right thing, all be it a bit too late.

My grandma was convinced carrots helped you see in the dark, right up and until she died. Once folk are convinced, they are convinced, even when you serve up fully researched, expert scientific opinion :D

How was the victory parade?

No fucker has asked me or my family how we felt saying goodbye to my mum over the phone with no response apart from a volunteer telling us she'll let us know when she passes. Why couldn't me and my sister see her in her final moments but some stranger could. I'm not having a go at the volunteer just the system.

All the while the Cunts in charge did as they pleased. Nobody has the right to deny those final moments from anyone, least of all these cunts.

What is your source for this claim ?

The questions they are asking seem to be not examining was lockdown correct but should we have locked down earlier.

There will be no mention of the Governments disinformation dept shutting down opinions that differed from their own but have now be proved right.

I also suspect there will be no investigations why anyone suggesting China was responsible were shouted down as racists.

The whole thing will be a complete farce as can be seen on this thread with the majority sticking to their entrenched mindsets which they had from the start.

The amount of control that people have conceded to the government has been a utter disaster.

Now we will see teachers unions backtracking claiming they never wanted to close down schools, Starmer back tracking claiming they never wanted to extend lockdown.

Government ministers will also shout from the rooftops that they were against lockdown from day one.

The enquiry like most will drag on for years and just conclude absolutely nothing.

So to you no lockdown or restrictions to prevent person to person contact?

If yes, then where would be people be put after the hospitals were full?
Where would the extra medical staff needed come from?
How many more grave diggers would have been needed?
How would you prevent the virus spreading in society?

It was an evolving science from day 1.

China locked down and wouldn’t let anybody in, it would not give access to inspectors and would only allow what they want people to see.
Plenty questioned China and still are.

You were shamed into that by SAGE and their behavioural scientists, (psychologists in other words) because you felt you were doing the right thing, I have friends in the same boat and it annoys me so much, people lost their minds due to the fear mongering - Twatlock is one of them as you can see above.

The shame is on them and the government.

As previously stated I was all for lockdown. Recent studies I have read however seem to indicate that lockdown prevented very few deaths.

The idea that hospitals would have been overrun with additional cases is pure speculation.

Perhaps you could enlighten me however, Where would an independent study have to be published before you would allow it to be quoted?

You seem to be accepting the governments propaganda of huge amounts of fatalities if we didnt adhere to their opinion.

They were so sure of their opinion that they deemed it necessary to actively intervene on social media to prevent alternative opinions and studies being discussed.

Those freedoms we have voluntarily given up to governments will never be given back.

Do you mean the Telegraph?

Total and utter disgrace that this was allowed to happen.

Do you mean the Telegraph?

No. I have read studies, some of which have been published in the Telegraph. (not written by them) I realise however that unless they are published in the Guardian you will not believe they exist.

Its sad that you do not realise how much censorship and government misinformation has suppressed many studies that have since proven to be correct.

Show me one place where I have said I read the Guardian?

This is like that time I said something about Boris Johnson so you called me a Corbyn fan.

Don’t talk to me about what i realise when you just make shit up.

:D So it is ok for you to assume and make up things that the only studies I have read are in the Telegraph, yet complain when i do the same back to you.

I barely recall ever replying to you on anything. You seem to have a better memory than me as well as being able to bear a grudge longer than me.

Growler clearly correct. People just determined to stick with their initial opinions and dismiss anything which seems to suggest a alternative one.

Perhaps you could enlighten me however. Where does a independent report have to be reported before you accept it as legitimate?

Telegraph - clearly not

Guardian?

Mirror?

Sun?

Mail?

BBC?

YOu do realise there were many reports like this that have been censored or removed by social media dont you?

I am not assuming. You’ve posted a Telegraph article. (You’ve previously held out Allison Pearson as being someone you agree with :D )

I have a better memory than most people. That doesn’t mean I’m holding a grudge. That’s just another leap you’ve made. You do that a lot.

I also mentioned many other studies. Clearly the easiest to quote is one reported on in a mainstream newspaper.

Please answer my question, which media outlet needs to report something before you read it and not just dismiss it because of the source.

I genuinely find it incredible that so many people who thing the present government is corrupt and useless, seem to have accepted their instructions to lock yourself away as gospel.

You have not commented on the report but just attacked the person who has quoted it.

That is how censorship works.

If the enquiry doesn’t have the scope to look into how much money we spaffed up the wall and where it all ended up nobody should care

It’s actually the effect of fear and stress on the frontal lobe, it shuts down the part of your. brain that handles logic.

This is why SAGE were employed, remember their “we need to increase the perceived level of threat” comment?

And cunts like Boris sat there laughing and having parties whilst people like Mashman was unable to be with his Mum whilst she passed away, the same Boris who implemented a law especially for his Dad Stanley so he could go abroad during lockdown, it’s called ‘the Stanley Johnson clause’

And people on here defend them.

Well, the paper wasn’t peer reviewed, Johns Hopkins has distanced itself from it, it’s by two guys who were anti lockdown to start with and aren’t epidemiologists, but has been criticised by people who are. So as a starting point you could probably find more reliable studies if you’re actually into reading them.

Was this study commisioned by Boris Johnson and the cheese and wine Tory parties

So some have criticised it and some have supported it. You dismiss it because it challenges your hard felt opinions.

That is fair enough. The fact that it hasn't been peer reviewed does not mean it is not a decent report or unreliable.

The fact that it has been dismissed by people with a entrenched opinion supporting lockdowns does not mean it is a bad report.

There are many other reports which have drawn similar conclusions. No doubt these will also be dismissed by people holding opposite opinions.

The reports I read have changed my opinion. I recall that the height of the virus that people suggesting that closing school would cause untold damage to children's, were dismissed as extremists.

I cannot see how anyone can look at the amount of excess deaths we are still suffering as a nation, the damage to children's education, the missed cancer diagnosis, the working from home culture that has led to inefficiencies across the public sector and say that lockdown was a success.

Governments and the WEF are now so emboldened by seeing people allow such control over their lives that they will accelerate their efforts to control.

The left used to be against government control now they seem to actively support it.

No I dismiss it because of the quality of the research. I am more than happy re-evaluate my views. Given that you don’t remember much about speaking to me it might be best that you don’t make more assumptions about me.

Which epidemiologists have supported it?

What have ‘the left’ got to do with this?

Sadly you are wasting your time.

It is, as you quite rightly point out incredible that so many people call out the government for being useless and corrupt but when it comes to Covid still continue chanting their mantra.

People were deliberately scared, the government deployed 'fear' as a weapon. This is a matter of fact now, not up for debate.

The government deployed the 77th Brigade against its own population. Again a matter of fact.

The government monitored its own citizens, those who were EXPERTS who were pointing out the futility of lockdowns. A matter of fact.

The government actively silenced any dissenters. A matter of fact.

If these things happened in China, we would be up in arms.

Its fucking disgusting what happened, and should never happen in a liberal democracy.

But, as I said at the start of this response...................we are wasting our time............the vast majority still believe, still want to believe and cannot stop sucking on the tit of the government.

Lastly, over the last two years the UK has recorded excess deaths in ALL age groups. When you drill into the numbers you observe that the excess deaths are coming from heart and liver related disease. Nobody is talking about this (in the mainstream), nobody is getting to the bottom of why this is happening and anybody that tries is immediately silenced.

I used to think this country was a 'free' country, I couldn't have been more wrong. What a terrible, sad state of affairs.

I agree. I tend to stay clear of political threads these days for the reasons you state. Peoples opinion are entrenched. The key as you said is the amount of censorship and character assassination of those who opposed many of the governments measures. These people have been proved right since.

The control and censorship would make China proud. The post covid excess death figures are a disgrace and as you said barely discussed on mainstream media.

I realise I am wasting my time. People are determined not to have their opinions challenged or opposed.

So a study/report predicting not many more deaths is fact but not speculation but additional cases in hospital is, fuck off.

Hospitals were overrun , people died who may have survived had they gotten care, people in care homes were left to fuckin die, they were abandoned.
The elderly in hospital weren’t deemed fit enough to survive intensive care so they were just DNR.

So what freedoms have we now lost?

John Campbell did another vid about the heart and liver related deaths.

It’s been interesting watching him be team covid/vaccine to slowly changing his mind as he followed the evidence and his sheer exasperation over it now.

There's been a lot of data experts who have criticised his covid pivot and how he misleads by only using aspects of the data. It's no coincidence that videos that are critical about the vaccines get the most views and make the most advertising money on YouTube

Yes if you wanted a massive pile of dead bodies, especially older and people with medical conditions.

Don't be fucking ridiculous you soft cunt.

Talking your usual shite I see. A quick search on this subject shows articles about the excess death rates in The Guardian and the BBC News website:

https://www.theguardian.com/comment...in-excess-death-rate-covid-nhs-cost-of-living

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-64209221

I would assume you would consider both these sources as mainstream? Where's your evidence that people talking about this are being immediately silenced? :D

Plenty of interesting talking points in both articles.

Interesting you cite 2 sources who have accepted donations from one of the people heavily invested in 2 of the vaccines and the WHO.

Nothing to see here.

Tin foil a bit tight there?

Has this wonderful study been peer reviewed or is it just purely based on anti lockdown economists views?

It’s called following the money.

I’ve been called that before on this subject on here and was proven right.

I find it hard to take people seriously who use that phrase though, having an inquiring mind and going beyond the narratives of the MSM should be the norm….question everything!

Perhaps you'd like to provide solid evidence for your claims? I'm especially intrigued to know how this shadowy figure donated to the BBC, which as a public corporation, isn't actually allowed to accept donations...

Long haulers

And what of Long covid pray tell me? We the living dead still grappling with this wretched disease. Who’ll speak up for us in the enquiry. This thing hasn’t gone away you know. Far from it. Many have fallen, some still falling. Amen

Well you’re in for a surprise then given the information is readily available to the public.

Im not your gopher mate, put the same effort in as you have on this thread and you’ll find your answer, it’s really not difficult, and if your response is you can’t be arsed or whatever then you don’t really wish to find out but instead just want to argue your beliefs or troll etc

I’ve gone into detail on all the previous threads on the subject of covid.

Follow the money, it’s that simple.
