PICTURES: The definitive RI post a picture of your dag thread

It's to a bloke who was a court favourite of Edward II. Much disliked, he was murdered in this small wood by a couple of Welsh swordsmen. It's of a bit of interest 'cos there's no proper access to the wood and most locals don't even know it's there.

and ...?

What's his name and where is it?

Lovely. The Patterdale that you mentioned?

Welcome to the forum dag club. A select band. All the best posters keep a dag. I expect pictures of the new arrival wearing a coat if we ever see Winter again.

Indeed, Patterdale plus a bit of something. Settling in well despite some acute separation anxiety. He had a coat at the dags home and it made him look a bit fat so thinking of something more like this.

don't put him in a coat mate....he already has a very good fur one
plus it makes you both look like a twat

schutzhund is brilliant....she will love it once she gets the obedience sorted.

I have been involved in schutzhund for about 20 years. I am a tracklayer and an assaliant, I have also trained an obedience champion. But what I want to do with her is the new way of obedience, all done with carrot and no stick.

Sorry, name is Piers Gaveston and it's a few miles from Warwick (think it was the Earl of Warwick who had him murdered). It's actually quite a spooky place on your own in there knowing what happened.

nice one!
I'm training my GSD using carrot only...and hand signals only...it's fucking hard at times

That'll do the job. Being a Terrier he'll be roaming through all sorts of terrain as he gets a scent. They don't care if it's frozen brambles, bracken etc. As well as keeping them warm a coat prevents a lot of the chafing of their belly. Mine is about 6" of the ground; he's basically a snake, in Winter (so far) he's had a frozen belly so I got him a trouser suit. His trousers kept falling off, last week, so I'm back to the drawing board.

this.

When they're puppies you need to tske a bit of care anyway that they're not out too long when its cold or wet. Otherwise they are just fine in their own coat.

Yeah, both points have occurred to me - especially as I won't be doing the extreme weather stuff that ABWIA does.

Why did he get a monument?

I find this kind of history v. interesting.

That came 500 years later, apparently from some local landed gentry who appears to have been a bit outraged at what happened, hence this inscription

A small piece of history but I was a bit irritated that it has no public access and isn't even widely known about locally.

Ha! This bird am seeing her dag is called amber and I call her dag amberling.. Obviously from your username but I didn't know. Subliminal Red Issue. Or I spend too much time on here.

The feelings mutual.

Drove to Spain this summer and stopped along the way in Sully, France.

Don't worry, it'll be at the shit-eating stage soon.

Dirty smelly disgusting creatures.

and humans are not ?
give me a dag all day long over trusting an upright.
for the first time in my entire life,i dont have a dag and i fuckin hate it.

lovely looking dag by the way.
there should be a dedicated dag-lovers thread

I've advocated this for years. The reasoning is that some people just don't care that much about their dags; would they be allowed to post in it? And they'd all want one: cat people. reptile keepers, fish lads; the lot. Animal threads everywhere.

Same here really. A few years ago I had to have my 14 year old German shepherd put down. Holding her head and watching her slipaway while the vet injected her was very hard going. Not been able to bring myself to get another dag since then. :(

Nice pics from everyone btw

:D

Is that your dag?

And you have an upstairs kitchen?

Yes. That's my Jack Russell. Those trousers are lethal on a young dag. Last week, in snow, I kept having to put his legs back in them. May get them altered.

We had all the thing with the Irish house in the 'kitchens' thread ages ago. Yes; it's upside down. Sleeping quarters downstairs, rest of it upstairs. Cool in Summer. Priceless in North-West England those little details.

Animal-Lovers then.
a catch-all forum,but mainly about dags
:)

Someone could always make a dag social group.

How do we make this happen? A DSG is long overdue. For a good post you get 'good bone'; bad posts get a tick.

Community>social groups>create new group. Then I think you have to invite people.

Alan Titmarsh has got one, so....

And if you're really naughty, your dag's forced to wear a daft trouser suit.:)

With trousers that won't stay on :D

German designed as well. So much for efficiency.

Will it entail much admin work? How many hours per week; roughly?

Get yourself a rescue dag mate makes both of you happy

I recently had to have my beautiful Siberian husky - meeka put down
I was devastated

But I have since rescued a pup from some cunts who thought it was a good idea to burn her with cigarettes :mad::mad:

Poppy left and Smartie right, knackered after their walk around Entwistle reservoir this afternoon.

Just got Poppy 2 weeks ago, she was a rescue dag and I got her from South Wales. Beautiful Springer 8 months old.

you should have got a rescue dag you selfish cunt

what the fuck is selfish about not getting a rescue dag?

Its not those who don't get rescue dags who are the problem, its those who create the need for rescue homes who are 'cunts'
