The Covid enquiry.

And the rest.

Had to go to his house in 2006 for work purposes.

I thought he had a hole in his roof and the snow had got in.
Oh aye, I've no doubt there was plenty of Charleston going on, especially when he was, ahem, 'working' as a journalist. I don't care if you're a Purtian Mail columnist or a fair-trade espousing Guardian hack - come Saturday, they're all enjoying a few lines.

I'd just sort of assumed Johnson would have knocked it on the head for more respectable forms of refreshment in recent years, what with holding high office. Saying that, we can think back to Osborne on the front bench a few years back looking absolutely wired off his tits.

Not true at all mate. The first 3 months of lockdown was like a ghost town on the rail network and tube network down here.

The tube was busy, I used to travel from Hackney Central to green park everyday, granted it wasn’t its usual absolutly hammered but after the initial 2 week lockdown it was busy.

My mum worked in a shop and stayed off for 2 weeks, my dad did deliveries and he did the same.

I don't know, I was on a site that shut down for a couple of days then reopened because the news was showing loads of people on the tube going to work.

I was on a 300 man site in Belgravia. We had to do a test before we came back and then every morning, break and dinner we had our temperatures checked going back on the job.

Business as usual.

Wife is a nurse and was working all through it.

We fix ambulances so were open, but had covid HSE turn up to move our office desks about so we were correctly distancing

Nice Quote from Patrick Vallance:

“When I left a meeting I would usually be persuaded we had got him (Boris) to understand what it was we were trying to say,” he told the inquiry. “Six hours later he might not have remembered what was in that meeting.”

I seen some of the hearings yesterday, did valance admit herd immunity was the policy at the start?

Does your nose grow?

Does your nose grow?

2 weeks lockdown in London lasted, then those who could work from home worked from home, everyone else was back to work. Delivery drivers, Shop keepers etc.

Bars and pubs stayed closed didn’t they and then in august 2020 they had eat out to help out?, every where then back open until the second wave lockdown.

Does your nose grow?

And how the fuck would you know anyway, you didn’t venture out anywhere, you stayed in believing videos from China of people dropping dead in the street and people being forcibly dragged from the houses by quarantine teams.

The perception you have of Covid is absolutely fucked and what I’ve stated above is a massive reason why.

Me and my lad had 10 days off but most self employed didn’t even do that, not everyone had the luxury of staying at home.

Usage stats were frequently published which clearly differ from your jackanory tales.

Non essential retail, restaurants and pubs were shut as were lots of offices, there was no reason to travel.

Have you worked in London mate?, it’s absolutely
Full of tradesmen…..

Covid :D

People who had injections :D

People who obeyed the rules and believed the bullshit :D

Apparently no one went out to work….

In the first 10 days I was off I got sick of seeing tradesmen working in my area so I thought ‘ if it’s alright for them ‘ . People needed to get out sometimes just for their mental health but mainly because they didn’t get paid, a point that is too easily dismissed by some on here.

Valalnce and Whitty were excellent and informative. The whole enquiry has been fascinating so far.

What MPs have yet to get quizzed, has the oaf blustered his way through it yet?

Johnson and Sunak have submitted written evidence - Vallance was scathing about Sunak yesterday.

Johnson is due to appear in a couple of weeks - wonder what deceptions will be exposed - should be gripping stuff as the KC's are very good.

There is alive stream during enquiry hours and daily videos after hours:

Top red and a great man is Whitty.

He was in the North stand in the 1-5 derby at Maine Rd taking it to the young guvnors.

Took no prisoners.

For us who lost loved ones in pandemic, shocked and angered by #CovidInquiry revelations.

Rishi Sunak overheard cruelly saying “just let people die and that’s okay” and Ministers must focus on “handling scientists, not the virus".

Shameful disregard for lives by a callous govt.

They don't give a fuck. They know the findings are not going to be coming out before the election when most of the cunts will be on the dole.

Just look at the numbers who won't be standing again.

Hang on a minute, I distinctly remember you saying that we should let people die of the virus.

Yes, in an ideal world, we would have no medicines and nature would take its course.

So we would have no population problem or global climate change.

A perfect world in other words.

Unfortunately, we are where we are with all its problems.

And capitalism has caused it all.

Not like you to be hypocritical wayne?

According to you Sunak is cruel for apparently saying "just let people die and that's okay". No argument with that.

Here is a something that you have posted yourself in the past...

"Fuck vaccines, let the bodies pile high in their millions.

Fuck all medicines we have too many people."

Hypocritcal enough, yet even worse when you go on to admit taking these very vaccines yourself.

Then you wonder why you get a hard time on here sometimes... :o

Yeah, but I'm dealing with how things are now and how it's fucked the natural balance of human life.

Look at any animal it's all about survival of the fittest and it works.

From oil, farming, building homes, shopping for our food, medicine and numerous other things, capitalism has ruined mankind with the totally false way of life we all lead.

I'm not saying what we have isn't great, but it cannot last, and look how it's fucking the planet up.

But it's not a false way of life, it is the way of life that us, as humans, who are a product of nature as much as any plant, or microbe or animal in the forest, have created for ourselves. It would be completely unnatural if any being with the abilities that humans have, both physical and mental, didn't try and mould the world around us in ways that we thought would improve our lives. The fact that it often doesn't is because we are not infallible.

Look at how the American Indians survived for who knows how long, until The white man came along, they would still be going if not for that with no changes needed it was a perfect way of living, and blended in with every other living thing on the planet.

MOney fucked everything up. The Indians didn't need it they traded.

I get what you're saying, that what we have now is sort of natural, because of man's intelligence.

But We're doomed if we try to carry on with this system. We'll get a few more years out of it but ultimately...........

It’s still about survival of the fittest, but us fit ones are also compassionate, so we chuck you a lifeline.

The Tories only throw the rich a lifeline through tax cuts which the poor pay for.

Survival of the shittest.

It was a perfect way of life for the environment in which they lived. In Eurasia there were opportunities for technological advancement, and humans being what they are, took advantage of that. We could no more have stopped it than you could stop a lion hunting a gazelle.

The thing is, for the first time in the history of the human race we are at a point where we can see the damage we are doing, and what's more be able to do something about it. Until recently, the quality of the water in our rivers had been improving and fish that had long since disappeared from them were coming back. For the first time ever we were improving the natural environment around us, that has sadly been reversed by the current tory scum government.

The snag is, money and the greed for it and the power that comes with it drives some people to do evil and plain wrong things.
They don't give a fuck about our environment, so will continue to wreak havoc if we let them.

That sorted it out.

All sodding day on the BBC News Channel (not exactly as if there's not a few other things to cover today) with Hancock burbling on. Who did what, when. Who cares?

Given that a) the inquiry is just a load of self-justifying narratives and b) we've no idea what the next pandemic will comprise, there's no point to this.

Then Hancock finishes the tedious day saying we didn’t have a hard enough lockdown. The same Hancock who was shagging around throughout whilst issuing edicts about staying at home, in common with modeller Ferguson.

Hindsight he said we should have locked down 3 weeks earlier, funny that I was saying that at the time just going off what was going on in Italy etc.
