NONSENSE: Conspiracy theories, nonsense and cranks (not exclusive)

We have to keep repeating that Sunak and Mogg and plenty of others supported Johnson, knowing he was lying.

The Tory Party are finished for years and Johnson will be dragging everyone down with him, he will not be carrying the can for all what has happened.

You are deluded, what you hope for and reality are 2 completely different things.

You can usually tell when an MP is lying, their lips move.

Boris is a cunt who would do absolutely anything to get and stay in power, he’s devoid of morals (case in point in the number of kids he’s got with various other women) , the problem is he’s popular , fuck knows why?

But it's not just me saying it.

Running a government based on lies and corruption can only last so long.

We have to be grateful for rules and regulations, they worked in this instance.

Their sponsors wanted those rules and regulations destroyed, and the Tories were willing to go along with it.

Tbh the Tories likely were likely against lockdowns, however the science held sway (which is correct) , politicians will blame anybody but themselves, that’s the same for every party and not just a Tory thing.

Remember it’s was a worldwide pandemic and in reality we fell in line with regards restrictions etc. with most other so called advanced countries, some countries went further than we did, Labour was also always calling for more restrictions than the government.

The U.K. did very well when it came to vaccines, we were quick off the mark.
But like I’ve said numerous times the care home deaths mean Hancock has blood on his hands.

Just catching up on the the goings on of the enquiry this morning and came across this...

He [Prof David Heymann, from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine] said one major downside of encouraging widespread mask use was that there was a shortage of supply at the start of the pandemic.

If the public as well as the health community had been “trying to get hold them” at the same time, he said it could have caused a "serious problem".

"There was concern, including I think at the WHO, that it would compound the shortage that was occurring," he told the inquiry.

Which is exactly what I suggested was one of the reasons for the delay in the recommendation of face masks, and nothing to do with them not working at all.

And also this...

In their joint report, both witnesses said planning for a possible no-deal Brexit from 2016 onwards had the "inevitable" consequence of taking up time and energy which could have been used for pandemic planning.

BREXIT KILLS!

Face masks were only pushed once it became clear that serious money was to be made from supplying them, in the main anyway. All these cunts should be made to disclose any connections whatsoever to winners of these nefarious deals and not be able to hide behind the “oooh it was a pandemic though “ nonsense.

Masks do provide some protection so they do work to an extent.

It mostly started with following on from some US states recommending their use. In the US push they were actually quite explicit that people should go for simple face coverings and not go buying up medical grade ones (if you could actually source any) as there was still a supply deficit of proper PPE for hospitals/healthcare at the time.

Quite happy to be corrected but the people with influence/connections who made a killing were the 'fast lane' types who were suddenly acting as middle-men for the stuff required by the NHS et al. And yes, i'd be more than happy for that whole sorry affair to be looked into very deeply and for there to be consequences for the piss-takers.

Who allowed inexperienced people into the ‘VIP fast lane’ ? Just seems that an opportunity was taken by those in government to whet their beaks via third parties who they had connections with. This government seem to only want power to take money out of the public purse and syphon it off to their mates, obviously it always goes on but the level of piss taking has been ramped up.

Yes, not disagreeing with any of that. Your original post though seemed to be conflating ministers actively helping their mates cash in from Government sourcing of PPE and the public health recommendations to wear some kind of face covering in certain settings.

Apologists coming on the radio telling us to forget about Boris now.

"He's told a few 'porkies' but it's over now, let's move on and get the country sorted out".

Jesus Christ.:o

Fair enough.

I wonder if Sunak is going to turn up for the vote on Monday?

Maybe an 'urgent engagement' will materialise?

Just read he has a meeting with an unnamed foreign leader

Interesting snippet from today's submissions...

The inquiry also heard about increasing pressures in the NHS, with the number of people waiting for treatment twice as high before the pandemic as it was in 2009.

The number of vacancies for doctors and nurses were already climbing, with "great pressure" on existing staff.

And life expectancy around the UK was already on the decline.

Up to 2010, it had been steadily increasing but, from that point on, the improvements stalled - with the largest declines generally seen among the most deprived socioeconomic groups.

What on earth could have happened in 2010 that caused things to suddenly get worse

The title of this thread is really messing with my OCD :(

I was made redundant from the NHS a few months back due to cuts from the DoH, as were many others too, so that’s no surprise to me, I think I warned at the time on here to watch out for them blaming Dr and Nurse strikes.

That's not what this data here says as it was rising until 2014

Why is there an urge to see "improvements"? Is quality of life better as you get older?

Who made that submission ? Doesn't a bit of context help here ?

I don't know if it's genuine but I wouldn't be surprised if it were. Sort of confirms what we have come to believe about what went on; the 'do as I say, not as I do' approach.

Really does display a contempt for the public.

It's legit.

The link to the Parliament.uk website is there.

Effectively we've been lied to on the masking & social distancing.

Why? To what purpose? And what else?

They're the follow up questions that need to be answered...

What it shows is it wasn’t as much of a threat as the fear porn suggested.

Plenty of us said this.

People will still argue the toss otherwise though.

Everything they do is about staying in control of the population.

Lose that and they're dead.

Making money so they can retain their power.

No need to complicate things.

Being picky over a few years?

You still haven’t replied with regards number of doctors and nurses within the NHS, you said they were all leaving.
You make sweeping statements but do not back them up, you are full of shit.

Numbers are consistently rising, happy for you to provide anything that differs.

I am not saying the NHS is doing well, demand is increasing, the impression I get is getting the first referral for initial investigation is slower than it should be, treatment for the serious stuff is generally good once you are in the system, however people are waiting way too long for non urgent stuff.

The reality is we have to commit to spend more or some stuff needs to be dropped as an option on the NHS.

So we have enough nurses and doctors?

They can't hold on to them because of the conditions and low pay.

Why the fuck do you think they're on strike?

The numbers increasing blows your shite out of the water, more are joining the service than are leaving.

Cos he talks funny, doesn't give a shit, and is relatable and is someone who would be good to go for a beer with. He fucked up at work, tell me someone else who has never fucked up or been ill prepared for something. I know politicians should be held to higher standards, but that makes it no less relatable.

It's that simple. If labour (or anyone) had someone with a bit of character or daresay 'fun' about them, then they would also be as popular.

It doesn't really matter what they say or stand for. Just needed for the power grab.

His irresponsibility cost lives.

And the ones who continued to back him are as much to blame.

Relatable? Not in any way.

And you’d have to be a weird fucker to want to go for a beer with him.
